Glycerine, also called glycerol, has moisturizing, emollient and protective properties. Its name comes from the Greek “glykerós” which means sweet. It comes in the form of a sweet, soft, colourless and odourless liquid. It is capable of capturing and retaining water efficiently. To find it in our products, it appears in the list of ingredients on the packaging, under the name GLYCERIN.

Caprylic/capric triglyceride is an ingredient used in a variety of skincare products such as lotions, creams and gels. It is known to help a product spread on the skin and to form a light, non-greasy layer that leaves the skin smooth and protects it from moisture loss.

Denatured alcohol contributes to texturing a product by preventing separation and crystallization. It helps the active ingredient come into contact with your skin and perform its function.

Glycerol stearate is an emollient, it adds smoothness to textures. It is used in haircare and skincare products.

Octyldodecanol is a fatty acid coming from natural oils. It is known to be a good moisturizer, and can also serve as a base or thickening agent for a product.

Cetearyl alcohol belongs to the familly of fatty alcohols. It promotes the formation of intimate mixtures between immiscible liquids (water and oil) and can help thicken skin and hair products. It also helps soften and maintain the skin in good condition.

Glyceryl stearate citrate allows the bonding and stabilization of the 2 phases of cosmetic formulas (water and oil). It also helps maintain the skin in good condition by preventing water loss.

Tocopherol, also known as vitamin E, is a potent antioxidant used in various cosmetic products (skin care, makeup, sunscreen). Tocopherol acts as an antioxidant and can protect the skin from free radical damage. It also has moisturizing properties and can act as a masking agent to reduce or mask the odour of other ingredients.

Hydroxyacetophenone in an antioxidant. It inhibits reactions promoted by oxygen, avoiding oxidation and rancidity.

Scleroglucan gum is a polymer used to thicken a product or stabilize an emulsion. It is a texturing agent that coats the hair fibre to improve its hold. It is used in haircare products. It is also used in skincare products for its ability to retain moisture.

Panthenol, also known as pro-vitamin B5, is the precursor of vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid, which is a natural constituent of the hair). Its name comes from the Greek “pantothen” which means “everywhere”. Vitamin B5 is found throughout living organisms. In particular, it plays a role in the development and proper functioning of the central nervous system. It is found in certain foods such as meat, fish, egg yolk, almonds and nuts. Panthenol is a stable form of vitamin B5. It is known for its moisturising, soothing and repairing properties. To find it in our products, it appears in the list of ingredients on the packaging, under the name PANTHENOL.

Coming from simple sugars, Xanthan gum is used to thicken products and form gels, but can also help stabilize emulsions.

Pentylene glycol is used to dissolve other ingredients, helping ingredients stay well mixed in a uniform, smooth product. It is also known to help maintain moisture levels.

Citric acid is a multi-purpose ingredient added to a wide variety of skin-care products first for its exfolliant properties. Additionally, it is a stabilizer known to chelate metal ions naturally found in water helping the action of cleansers. Citric acid can also be used to adjust pH and/or to mask odours of other ingredients.
